CURIOUSITY IS IMPORTANT:

Curiousity is a key ingredient in learning at every age.

When people look for better ways to do tasks, they excel at those tasks.

Curiousity ensures they have an active mind.

They learn and understand better.

HOW TO HELP:

PARTICIPATION:

• Encourage participation in activities that match their interests.

• Suggest events of interest such as attending sporting events or concerts.

NEW SKILLS:

• Have them identify a simple, fun skill to learn.

• Examples could be cooking from a certain recipe, working with a specific computer program, or learning a new game.

• Have them research information on steps for learning the skill and then help them follow the steps.

EVENTS:

• Have them call or check online to find out about events that are open to the public.

• Try local colleges, art schools, music academies, museums or libraries.

• Suggest they attend these as a family enabling everyone can learn about new subjects.

INDEPENDENCE:

• Help children be independent by having them plan an outing using public transportation.
