The world has changed in the past decades. The Digital Revolution is causing rapid change. There are technological advances in all fields.
The world-wide extension of the internet, autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence are examples. The nature of work and employment are rapidly altering.
To cope, our youth will need to be visionary, innovative, creative, confident and persistent. With these skills they can have positive impact on the changing world.
Thomas Edison had a major impact on the world as we know it. His electric lights changed how the world operates. He also created voice recording and motion pictures. All these have changed the world as we know it.
Steve Jobs is another person who has changed our world. He helped introduce personal computers, smartphones and altered the music and movie businesses. His innovations affect our daily lives.
Both Thomas Edison and Steve Jobs had interesting experiences in the education system of the day. Both had less formal education than their peers. In spite of this, they excelled. Both possessed the ability to visualize large scale projects. When making decisions, both of them followed an inner voice.
Our youth will face many challenges in this rapidly changing world. They need to develop abilities such as creativity, persistence, and entrepreneurship. This will enable them to positively impact the future world.
Our world has many challenges. This upcoming generation will need to be pro-active in meeting those challenges.
